Annual Meeting of the Jaguar and Daimler Owners Club July 11th.

This years meeting will be held on Sunday the 11th of July
at Hatton Country World, in Hatton, not surprisingly, near to Warwick. We have
hired our berth for the day, and overnight
accommodation is available for those who wish to stay over before going back the next day.
The club has paid for the hire of the premises and for your buffet lunch
provided by outside caterers, obviously overnight accommodation, should it be
desired should be negotiated with Hatton Country World independently. Non
members seeing themselves as prospective new members, are welcome to appear on the
day and meet us all, perhaps to see who we are and what we are all about.
This club has one of the best insurance deals going, and his unrivalled stock of spares.
The Chairman, Wally Crooks who has over 45 years in the Jaguar business, lives and breathes Jaguars,
and is well versed source of experienced practical knowledge, in addition to his renowned character.

Deals exist for all criteria including set yearly mileage, and they are good.

John Arnold has asked via the discussion forum, how much the membership is per
year. It is held at year 2000 prices in honour of the ex secretary Peter, and is
twenty five pounds a year plus a single two pounds one off to join.
There are also two year and life memberships available.
Leather key fobs are 1.50, tee shirts and sweat shirts ten pounds, and the cd is
usually two pounds. Classic car insurance is available at discounted rates for
members, via Peter Best, at renegotiated rates, and one of the largest stocks of new and used spares
in any Owners club is available discounted for members. Wally Crooks is also genius with big cats, and also
thoroughly nice man of integrity and inimitable style. Nothing is too much trouble be assured.

The Chairman welcomes technical questions, either in person
during normal office hours, or by telephone at any of the
above numbers, notably never a mobile in sight and me
to deal with the dreaded internet and computers.
There has been a decline in service of late, this was due
to the unfortunate death of the original Secretary, Peter.
The club almost died with him, and it is only with regret
that Wally has decided to carry on. I am pleased that
the Chairman has entrusted me with continuation of
service and I shall be as much help as possible,
always available.
As our gesture of goodwill, and also in memory of Peter,
prices have been held to year 2000 levels. We hope the
interim period has not been too depressing, and
full mailing of all past members is under way.
If you used to be a member, then a letter will appear
very shortly. As our records are copious, some letters
may arrive at places where the occupant no longer
survives, I apologise for these instances, should
they unfortunately occur, however I cannot
realistically canvas all previous members without
sending out letters to last known addresses.
Should you wish to email me with changes of address,
I am going backwards in time and would appreciate
any help in not sending superfluous letters out,
or indeed sending letters when least appropriate.
